In this course we will cover an introduction to the Oriental studio - brushes, ink and rice paper. Students will learn basic brushstrokes and calligraphy and subjects of the summer season including fish, water and the classic subject of bamboo. Spontaneity, skill, joy and an appreciation of nature are all integrated in this charming expressive medium.
Scrapbook. Butchers paper is best. Available Book Warehouse. If you buy A4 size you can tear pages in half. If not available photo copy paper is OK.
Watercolours: A set should contain cobalt blue, sap green, crimson, raw sienna, burnt sienna, black and white. Kmart and Book warehouse stock inexpensive Chinese brands. If you have your own bring them as well as we can mix colours.
