Dancing has many advantages which include a thorough but gentle way to exercise, develops co-ordination of mind and muscle, teaches the social graces, develops skills of communication, promotes confidence and self-assurance, develops artistic creativity and musical interpretation, a great way to meet people, encourages good poise and posture, keeps you feeling young, one of the few hobbies that couples can do together or singles can enjoy with other dancers and finally, it’s just all about having great fun.
In this course you will be exposed to:
Modern Ballroom: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep
Latin American: Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha, Paso Doble and Jive
New Vogue Sequence Dancing: Swing Waltz, Gypsy Tap, Tangoette, Barclay Blues just to name a few.
English Old Time: Boston 2 Step, Argentine Stroll, Rosalie Rumba, Sally Anne Cha Cha and these are only a few from the hundreds that are available to learn. Be inspired by Jarrod & Jayne Dawson. A local couple who were taught by Carol. Just copy and paste this link into YouTube.
Dance shoes are desireable but dont go out and buy them especially because they are expensive. Court shoes are more than suitable but not joggers. Comfortable clothing is the order of the day
