*NEW* Clog Tap Dance (Clogging)

Clogging is totally new to the Coffs region so here’s your chance to try out a new style of Tap Dance. It gained popularity in the Appalachian Mountains, USA where it was danced mostly to Bluegrass and Country music. These days however, Clogging is danced to any music – rock, pop, rap, country, bluegrass, etc.

No matter whether you’ve tap danced before or a total beginner, students will be amazed at how quickly they understand the fundamentals of Clogging and most students progress very quickly… much quicker than traditional Tap. No previous dance experience is necessary, but if you’ve tap danced before, you’ve got to try Clogging! By the end of the course, you will be able to dance full dances, read cue sheets (choreography) and understand the composition of the dance steps. Once you learn the steps in the dances, those dances stay in your repertoire, so you can continue to enjoy what you’ve learnt at Camp Creative. There are also regular weekly classes you can join after the Camp.

Clogging remains exciting and interesting as we have an Australian Clogging Association which co-ordinates all the dances on the national dance list as well as choreography competitions, workshops, camps and annual conventions.
