Dudi Shaul

Dudi Shaul

The music of Dudi Shaul is an adventure of sensations between place, time and culture. From the lush green liveliness of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, to the sacred stillness of Eastern deserts and the sensitivity of the classical guitar, Dudi’s desire to bring people together communicates a distinctive and diverse musical experience.
Born in Israel with Iraqi and Polish heritage and migrating to Australia at the age of 8, Dudi’s musical journey began in the small town of Bellingen. Now a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Dudi is a global musician who has studied with Australian guitar legends such as Doug de Vries and Tonié Field and Israeli/Iraqi musician Yair Dalal. His travels and engagement in the Ethno network have brought Dudi to perform in countries including Sweden, Slovenia, Germany, France, Croatia, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, New Zealand and Australia.

As a teacher, Dudi enjoys sharing the fun in music making. His experience as artistic leader at Ethno Australia, guitar facilitator at Bellingen Camp Creative combined with a keen interest in the Alexander Technique, Eyebody Method and also receiving an EU Youthpass in Paris, have led to a creative and open minded approach to passing on the gift of music.
