Simon Says Circus

Learn the tricks of the trade such as juggling, hula-hoop twirling, clowning, balloon art, balances, basic stilts and unicycle and for the more daring – aerial disciplines!

Circus fun for ages 7-16. Skills, tricks, games and lots of fun. Meet new friends, exercise and play. Just some of the circus skills to experience include: tumbling, mini tramp, acro-balance, juggling, hoops, clowning and aerials. Five days of action packed circus fun culminating in a performance at lunch time on the fifth day. The coaches are based on the far north coast of NSW and are literally awesome at running these types of workshop.

Every morning you will start with a stretch, warm-up and focus games and then the day will be divided up between classes, circus videos and free practice time.

Simon Adams

Spaghetti Circus is a leading Australian youth circus renowned for producing innovative performances and high level specialised training for 20 years. Under the direction of Simon Adams, they produced the ‘Ready, Set … Go!’ Sports Show & ‘The Super Hero’s’ Show that toured to theatres and schools throughout regional NSW. Most recently the Spaghetti Circus performance has returned from a highly successful European Tour.

Simon Adams is currently head coach at Circus Arts, in Byron Bay, and worked at Spaghetti circus as artistic director from 2004-2013, a qualified advanced gymnastics coach and currently in the final year of a sport and exercise science degree.

Leonie Mills was a state gymnastic champion and a qualified coach, founder of Spaghetti circus inc., and is a leader in her field.

Course Requirements

Students should bring comfortable clothes to train in (tracksuit pants or leggings a must for the aerial).
