Da Yan Wild Goose Qiqong  NEW

Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong is an ancient gentle health practice, similar to Tai Chi, focusing on moving your body without too much physical or mental tension, and thereby creating relaxation, tranquility and health.

Da Yan translates to Great Bird and is an ancient Qigong practice originating from the Kunlun School of Daoism in the Jin Dynasty (1,700 years ago). You will learn to mimic the movements of the Wild Goose, a bird revered in China for its strength and health, as it gently strengthens its body and mind to fly a long distance migratory flight over the Himalaya Mountains. You will learn a version called the Rainy Day Practice, a shortened form consisting of 26 movements, while keeping all the basic principles and essence of Qi health cultivation. These gentle movements bring together the observation of the laws of nature, thousands of years of Chinese Medicine, a continual linage of practice over many centuries, and a reputation for improving health and longevity. Each day you will learn and practice the movements of Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong, ending each day with a meditation.

Wednesday: Qigong warm up exercises, the first 11 movements, the second set movements 12 to 21, the third set of movements 22 to 26, Meditation.

Thursday: Qigong warm up exercises, the first 11 movements, the second set movements 12 to 21, the third set of movements 22 to 26, Repeating in four directions, Meditation.

Friday:  Qigong warm up exercises, the whole Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong Rainy Day sequence, Meditation. Demonstration display for general public

When Matt began studying a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 1990, like many massage therapists, he soon developed sore hands, wrists, arms & neck from performing so many massages.
Searching for a different way to move his body, Matt discovered Okido yoga - which encompasses Indian Yoga, Japanese Zen, Chinese Taoism and Western Health practices. After many years of training Okido Yoga, Shiatsu Massage, Qigong, Acupuncture, Shotokan Karate, Matt is keen to help others to fully engage their imagination to create their own health practices in order to adapt to life’s continuous challenges and changes.
Matt Sincock lives in Bellingen and is a registered therapist in Acupuncture, Yoga, Shiatsu, Remedial Massage, Qigong, and a First Aid Instructor. He runs a busy private practice in Bellingen, and a community acupuncture and shiatsu clinic.
Matt has taught Shiatsu to Diploma level for a number of colleges including the  Australian Institute of Applied Sciences and the Australian College of Eastern Medicine. He teaches Okido Yoga, Qigong and first aid classes in Bellingen with workshops in Sydney and Brisbane. Matt is currently writing Diploma level Shiatsu  courses and studies in Oriental Medicine Theory for registered training organisations throughout Australia.
