Kids Sculpture  NEW

Explore the amazing world of sculpture and learn about the language of art, considering form, space and place.

Extend your imagination and experiment with a range of materials and a variety of techniques such as clay press moulds, plaster casting, modelling, carving and assemblage. We will also use paper, cardboard, glue guns, tape, textiles and wire. Solder, cut, weave, wrap, twist and play, finding your favourite method to create a unique sculpture over 5 days.

More about the course

Feel free to bring along interesting objects, natural or reclaimed, that have colours or textures that attract you and could become part of your artwork. 

Look out for things like offcuts of fabric, balls of wool, lengths of rope, twine, old sets of crayons or pencils, toys, books and magazines.

Kathy Taylor

Kathryn is an experienced artist and teacher. She graduated with a B.Ed. Art from the College of Fine Arts, Sydney and studied Sculpture at the “Accademia di Belle Arti”, Florence, Italy. Kathy has over 20 years of experience educating and creating with all ages, facilitating art workshops for community groups, schools and art centres in Ireland and Australia.  She has exhibited in solo and group shows such as “Sculpture in Context” Dublin and “Irish Contemporary Ceramics “.   Her work is held in public and private collections in Australia and Internationally.

Course Requirements

All materials for the whole 5 days will be provided for $30.00 which is payable to the tutor on the first day.
