This five-day course will be taught in the traditional manner of the six principles applied to the subjects of the four seasons using the four treasures of bamboo brush, rice paper, inkstone and inkstick.
Over the five days you will cover brushstrokes – an introduction to five basic strokes that are fundamental to the construction of Chinese painting and Chinese calligraphy – butterflies, bees and blossoms, landscape, and birds and flowers (including Australian flowers). These themes and techniques can also be applied individually to pottery, calligraphy, fabric design, porcelain painting etc.
