The object of this course is to teach you the basics in using watercolour. That watercolour can be fun. We will learn how to simplify a complicated reference covering landscape, floral, animal/bird and figurative.

Marion Hughes

Marion Hughes

I have been painting for over 25 years, mainly in watercolour. I have attended many workshops to hone my techniques and style. My work has been hung in many exhibitions over the years, mainly in NSW & Queensland as well as Adelaide and Camberwell in Victoria.

I am predominantly self-taught but I love passing on my knowledge and passion for art to others.  I teach a variety of subjects, including landscape, Pen & Wash, Figurative & wildlife as well as some floral subjects.

My influences and inspiration comes from nature and my surroundings. My recent achievements have been via online art exhibitions with artists submitting art from all over the world.  I received several “Special Merit awards” as well as Honorable Mentions. I have been teaching my techniques for nearly 10 years. My work is in private collections both in Australia and overseas.
