I Made it Myself

An experiential, fun, and hands-on course for 'making and doing'. This is an opportunity for children to discover nature's gifts of plant fibres and clay and explore a range of arts activities.

Over the week, children will work with plant fibres to make baskets and paper – handcraft books – make puppets – work with clay – make prints and stencils – paint – draw – and so much more.

Each child will make meaningful personal pieces and fun, creative collaborations with their class.

Every day will be full of projects – from papermaking with recycled and plant fibres crafted into handmade books – to papier mache and puppet-making. Jenni will teach how to prepare and use plant fibres for basketry and make a bangalow container.

There’ll be a day connecting with clay, making creations for Jenni to fire and mail to the children after the Camp.
