Teen Actors

Whether you are a seasoned performer or just starting out on your acting journey, this is the place to build confidence and creativity over five days of fun and engaging drama activities. You'll be challenged to grow and fulfil your dramatic potential - while having a blast!

Over the week, you’ll be working on a comedy play, with a performance on the final day. Drama activities, scene work and rehearsal will have you exploring the fundamentals of acting, like body and movement – voice expression and projection – focus and memory. You’ll spend time working in group ensemble and get to enjoy the process of creating characters.

This is a course for teens to take their acting and performance skills to the next level.

Course Info

The play for the week is Hoodie, by Lindsay Price, which runs through a series of short stories (vignettes).

A range of characters play out stories around things like – worrying about standing out and being an individual – finding out who you truly are – peer pressure – worrying about having the wrong friends – not fitting in – worrying about image and appearance.

It’s all the questions teenagers face every day – what do I wear? What if I wear the wrong thing? What is he wearing? What do I look like? Stop looking at me!

It’s the perfect way to grow and have fun as an actor – putting on a show!
