Transport

Bellingen is mid-way between Brisbane and Sydney. There are many ways to get to Bello – you can drive, carpool, fly, catch a train or a bus.

Drive

Bellingen is five and a half hours north of Sydney and six hours drive south of Brisbane.

Carpool

If you want to do eco-friendly travel, join the car-pooling group on our Facebook page.

Fly

QANTAS, Virgin, Tiger and Fly Corporate flights arrive daily into Coffs Harbour airport from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Bus or train

NSW TrainLink and regional coach services are available from Sydney and Brisbane to Urunga, a fifteen-minute drive from Bellingen.

Airport & Urunga shuttle

If you are arriving or departing by plane at Coffs Harbour airport, or by coach or train to Urunga, we run a shuttle bus service, as there is no public transport available. We can drop you at your accommodation and pick you up for your return trip.

The bus will run on Saturday 11, Sunday 12, Friday 17, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 of January, between 8.00 am and 8.00 pm

Shuttle bus fares are $10 from Urunga and $20 from the airport, one way.

You must contact the coordinators to organise this service. All you have to do is email us with your flight or train details, and a friendly face will meet you at the airport, or train station.

Due to availability of drivers, campers arriving or departing before 8.00 am and after 8.00 pm will need to organise their own transport.

Taxi Service

Bellingen Taxi Service operates 24 hours, seven days a week. It offers services from Urunga and Dorrigo and includes maxi taxis and a wheelchair accessible taxi.

Camp transport

Daily shuttle bus

A free town shuttle bus runs mornings, lunchtimes and afternoons.

The bus runs in a loop from the Bellingen Showground to the High School, then the Primary School, with additional stops across town.

A detailed timetable will be provided in the Camper's Guide on registration.
