We run courses across a range of areas: painting, drawing, sculpture, dance, singing, woodworking, cooking, textiles, clay, music, writing, photography and more!

We also run courses designed just for kids and teenagers, aged 5 to 17 years.

We are looking for creatives with formal and informal experience, doing interesting work who are also excellent teachers with these qualities:

a willingness to be generous with information

strong technical skills

amazing interpersonal skills

how it works

Tutors create their own course to present to students, to fit into one of our course formats.

All courses run within one week, 12-16 January 2026. 

There is a lunch break from 12pm until 1pm. Morning and afternoon breaks are at the tutor's discretion.

NOTE: You are welcome to submit 2 proposals to run 2 courses for the week eg: 2 half day courses OR a 2 day plus a 3 day course.

5 day course - 9.00 am to 4.00 pm (Monday to Friday)

3 day course - 9.00 am to 4.00 pm over 3 days (Mon to Wed)

2 day course - 9.00 am to 4.00 pm over 2 days (Thu to Fri)

5 half day (morning) course - 9.00 am to 12.00 pm (Monday to Friday)

5 half day (afternoon) course - 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm (Monday to Friday)

5 half day, no preference (either morning or afternoon)

tutor requirements

Additional to the quality of their course proposal, to teach at Camp Creative, all tutors must:

  • Have a Working with Children Check valid for the dates of the event.

  • Have $20 million public liability insurance valid for the dates of the event.

  • Be able to provide a safe and respectful classroom environment within Camp guidelines.

  • Performing arts tutors must also be available to lead their class at the Finale Concert on the last day of the event (Friday).

what do tutors get paid?

Tutors are paid a set amount to teach for the week at Camp Creative.

A set travel allowance and accommodation allowance is also paid.

We have a billet system for tutors who don’t live in the local area, and can assist you in finding accommodation locally.
