Suitable for guitarists who have been playing for a number of years and have developed their skill level to a relatively high standard with a basic daily practice routine already established, ideally guided by regular lessons from a guitar teacher.

This course is a springboard for anyone wishing to take their playing to the next level.

Open to all styles of classical and acoustic fingerpicking guitar traditions, the intensive week will incorporate diverse styles of music and build on foundations for improving technique, improvisation, performance, ease of playing and guitarist wellbeing.

The course will focus especially on Brazilian guitar, from groove to accompaniment and melody playing, covering Samba, Choro  and other Afro-Brazilian influences.

After this course you will have a fresh approach to mastering the guitar with new repertoire, techniques, composition and improvisation ideas.

AGE: Suitable for ages 13 to adult

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced - Suited to those who have been practicing in this area for an extended period of time and are confident with techniques and self-directed projects.

    Your tutor will provide the following, at no extra cost:

    • Sheet music

    • A number of years of playing and taking guitar lessons

    • Can read Notation and/or Tab

Dudi Shaul

Dudi is a professional guitarist and teacher who grew up in Bellingen and is currently based in Tel Aviv where he is active in the vibrant music scene.

His passion for performing and teaching music has led him to play festivals and facilitate workshops around the world. His project 'Saravá Music' after their successful release of the Baden Powell Diaries to YouTube in 2021, is due to release their first debut album of original music.

Dudi’s creative output, guitar playing, and method of teaching is inspired and built on health and wellbeing practices. He is an accredited Alexander Technique teacher working also with vision improvement and voice training.
