Drama Games for Kids

$160.00

In drama games, the children can inhabit worlds different from the ones in which they live.

They will use their imagination to dramatise a range of characters, feelings, and situations. Their actions can be planned as well as improvised. The children will express themselves through their bodies and with language. The games chosen each day are based on a variety of themes or subjects.

Children with little dramatic experience can enjoy all the games. They play and give their actions a dramatic form. They tell and act out stories, experiences, feelings and things they have imagined. Playing these games they get to try things that they wouldn't do in every day life and can 'make mistakes'.

Thinking of drama as a game helps children to access their natural talents for imagination, pretending and spontaneous fun. The sessions include many activities to develop basic dramatic skills, such as simple mimes, movement exercises and introduction games. Also, Drama games are valuable for children's personal and social development. The games are designed to practice listening and observation skills, social and emotional skills, oral, physical and creative expression, as well as performance skills.
