Explore and Create is a five-day adventure for curious minds aged 9–14.
Dive into the wonders of nature as you explore local waterways, discover incredible waterbugs, and forage for natural materials. Let your creativity shine with hands-on projects like crafting insect hotels, making cyanotype art using the power of sunlight, and designing your own nature-inspired journal. Challenge yourself to try new things, trust your instincts playing sensory games, and build exciting new friendships.
This course is all about fun and discovery, offering the perfect mix of play, creativity, and connection with the beautiful Bellingen environment .
This course will be facilitated by the team at OzGREEN, who specialise in engaging young people with environmental education and hands-on activities.
AGE: Suitable for ages 9 to 14
SKILL LEVEL: Everyone - Suitable for a range of experience and skill. Tutors understand that there will be varying skill levels and will adapt to the needs and interests of all students.

DAY ONE
Exploring natural surrounds, foraging for materials and creating insect hotels
DAY TWO
Using natural materials and the sun to create cyanotype prints + making your own nature journal
DAY THREE
Using natural materials to create unique clay ornaments and artworks + outdoor games
DAY FOUR
Exploring local waterways learning about all things water bugs + outdoor sensory games
DAY FIVE
Building challenge, more games and free art expression!

Please bring the following on your first day of class:
Bring a hat, drink bottle and sunscreen (we will have some too)
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty
This class has an extra materials cost of $25, which is payable directly to the tutor.
Once you book your ticket, the tutor will be in touch to arrange payment.

Sam is a passionate environmental educator and facilitator who brings energy and enthusiasm to every group they lead.
Their ability to make environmental education fun and engaging inspires young people to connect with nature in meaningful, memorable ways.
