Please read all course information below before purchasing tickets for this event.

  • DAY ONE

    Sorting through a huge collection of garments, curtains, manchester, and vintage fabrics, students will gain inspiration and create a design and plan for their unique idea.

    DAY TWO

    Cutting out their pattern, trialing their idea, and creating a fit.

    DAY THREE to FOUR

    Cutting and sewing their creation.

    DAY FIVE

    Finishing their creation.

  • Please bring the following on your first day of class:

    • BYO drink bottle & lunch

    • Sewing machine

    • Scissors

    • Pins

    All other requirements for this course will be supplied from community donations.

  • Students need to be sewing machine confident, students who have sewn for at least a year.

Amanda Fairbanks

Amanda is an Australian Costume Designer, now based in Bellingen.

She has designed and collaborated with many of Australias best musicians, dance and circus companies, and fashion designers. She is a professional pattern drafter, costume maker, designer, and Wearable artist.

Amanda runs Bellingen's Creative Hub "Balcony Art Studio", where she teaches, sewing, fashion, costume, and sketch nights.
