Oh Shoot! Photography with James Lander

Want to learn how to take great photos on your phone or DSLR camera? Relaxed and fun, this course will get you hands-on with photography's technical and creative foundations to take better and more creative images.
This workshop is designed to teach participants skills in all facets of photography, including composition, lighting, exposure, aperture/shutter speed/ISO, depth of field and much more. James caters for all levels of experience and is very encouraging and supportive with beginners
Bellingen, the lush surrounds and Camp Creative is full of photographic opportunities, including a large variety of wildlife, rainforests and beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, stunning valley views, sunsets and loads of action and creative people to capture. You’ll work with themes such as landscape, portraits, motion, close-ups, mood, and more. Plus, explore genres such as portraiture, storytelling, landscape, photojournalism and live event photography throughout Camp Creative.
These amazing photographic locations and subjects, coupled with James’ extensive photographic knowledge and his relaxed and fun teaching style, means you will have an opportunity to learn plenty of valuable photographic tips, with like-minded people. And you will do so in the most tranquil, bohemian surroundings of beautiful Bellingen.

James Lander
James is known for his unique and recognisable visual style, he is passionate about capturing beauty in the everyday, whether that be vivid and colourful seascapes, or those little moments that otherwise go unnoticed.
A true collaborator, James also has a passion for capturing live music and has been invited to shoot a bunch of incredible events and festivals, notably Bellingen’s own Riversounds Music Festival, Storyland, the Big Bonanza, the inaugural Macksville Laneway Festival and Coffs Coast Food and Wine Festival to name a few.
Not to mention numerous individual gigs, where he has recently shot the likes of Gimme Gimme and Grxce. James has also shot for local initiatives, The Valley Hub and the Becoming U project.
