Guitar Artistry

A hands-on group learning course all about playing guitar, opening up new possibilities on the instrument, and developing the skills to create amazing music.

Guitar Artistry is a springboard for anyone wishing to take their playing to the next level.

It is designed to facilitate the combination of beginner/intermediate and advanced players together, whether you have a burning ambition to bring more guitar into your life, or you already perform shows and practice daily. This course welcomes you to learn, challenge yourself, and be part of the Guitar Artistry community.

Course Info

The week will incorporate diverse styles of music and build solid foundations for, performance, technique, improvisation, repertoire, style, composition, musicality, ease of playing, guitarist wellbeing and group performances.

This course includes a special focus on Brazilian guitar playing, from groove to accompaniment and melody playing, covering Samba, Choro  and other Afro-Brazilian influences on the guitar.

A few simple chords with some basic right hand coordination whether plucking or strumming  and a keenness to learn.

Bring your guitar

Beginner students are encouraged to bring a nylon string guitar, as they are much easier on the fingers.

Dudi Shaul

Dudi Shaul is a professional guitarist and teacher currently based between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. His passion for exploring and sharing music have brought him to an extraordinary study of diverse music traditions, performing concerts and teaching at workshops and festivals around the world.

His project ‘Saravá Music’, is built on unique creative collaborations and is characterised by Afro-Brazilian groove, middle eastern roots and original songs on the seven-string guitar.

Dudi’s creative output, guitar playing, and method of teaching is inspired and built on health and wellbeing practices. He is a trained Alexander Technique teacher working also with vision improvement and voice training.
